JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — One person is in critical condition after being shot in the neck during a dispute on the Westside Tuesday, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

JSO received 911 calls at 6:10 p.m. regarding the shooting, which happened in the 6900 block of Miss Muffet Lane.

While heading to the scene, JSO said officers received another call from an off-duty police officer saying a person shot in the neck was self-transported to a local hospital.

That person is in critical condition, according to police. The victim is around 18 years old, police said.

JSO said another person came to the police memorial building saying they needed to speak to a detective about the shooting. That person is being questioned.

JSO said the shooting took place between two groups of people in two separate cars, stemming from a dispute.

All individuals involved in the shooting have been located and are being questioned, police said.

JSO does not believe the incident was not gang-related.

There are no outstanding suspects, but JSO is still looking for more witnesses in the case.

If you have any information about what happened, call the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office at 904-630-0500 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS.
