JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Two teens were shot Tuesday night in the Duclay area on the Westside, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
The shooting happened just before 10 p.m. in the 7000 block of Timmerman Lane, police said. A third teen was uninjured.
All three teens were inside a vehicle when the shooting happened. The ages of the victims range from 17 to 19 years old, JSO said.
One teen was shot in the hand and the other was shot in the thigh. Both are expected to be OK.
After the shooting, the group drove the car to the end of the street to escape. Two of the victims then fled the vehicle and ran into the woods. One ran to a neighbor to call for help.
JSO said the investigation is in its early stages and it is too soon to tell if the shooting was a drive-by.
