A man is recovering in the hospital Thursday night after he was reportedly shot during a drive-by shooting in the Hogans Creek area, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
The shooting reportedly happened in the 600 block of West 8th Street around 6:25 p.m., police said. Upon investigating, JSO determined that the victim was driving westbound on 8th Street near Talleyrand when a gold Chevy Impala pulled up beside him and the front passenger fired four-to-five rounds at him, police said.
The victim was struck by a round in the arm then drove himself to a nearby hospital. He told police the firearm was a black semi-automatic handgun.
Police do not have suspect information, only that they are looking for two men.
