A woman is in custody Sunday after reportedly shooting another woman in the leg, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
Police said around 12:22 p.m. they responded to the Safeco Discount Store located at 769 Bunker Hill after receiving reports of a shooting.
At the scene, witnesses told police that two women were involved in a physical dispute. It is not yet clear if the dispute happened before the women entered the store or while they were in the store, police said.
During the altercation, one of the women shot the other woman in the leg, the sheriff's office said. That woman is listed as being in serious condition. The shooter stayed at the scene and is in police custody.
Police are not looking for any other individuals and the incident is being investigated by JSO's Aggravated Battery detectives.
