A person was shot in Moncrief and pronounced dead after being taken to a local hospital.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, officers responded to the 3800 block of Moncrief Road around 6 p.m. on Monday in reference to a person shot. When they arrived they found a man with injuries who was transported to a local hospital.
He was later pronounced dead.
Police arrested a suspect they believe to be involved in the shooting.
