A man was shot in the neck at the Cimarron Apartment complex on Arlington River Drive around 12 p.m.
Details are scarce at this time, but according to police when they were dispatched to the scene neighbors of the apartment complex were applying pressure to the wound of the victim.
"The residents have been amazing," said a JSO officer, "Outstanding work by the citizens."
The victim has been transported to a local hospital, his injuries are thought to be non-life threatening. At this time, he is not being cooperative according to police.
Police are investigating what happened to lead to the victim being shot in the neck.
