Police looking for shooter after man shot multiple times in Argyle Forest neighborhood

JACKSONVILLE, Fla — A man is expected to be OK after he was shot multiple times in the legs in the Argyle Forest area Tuesday night, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

JSO said officers were called to the Baymont Inn at 8555 Blanding Blvd. at 9:45 p.m. regards to a person shot. Once at the scene, officers found the man lying in the parking lot with multiple gunshot wounds to his legs.

JSO said the victim's injuries appeared to be non-life-threatening and he was taken to a local hospital. Police said the man was shot during an argument and that the shooter fled the scene on foot. Police are searching for the shooter, who is reported to still be armed with a gun.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
