Overnight shootings leave two men injured, no arrests

Two men were treated at the hospital after shootings rang out in various areas of Jacksonville Thursday night through Friday morning.

Two men were treated at the hospital after shootings rang out in various areas of Jacksonville Thursday night through Friday morning.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says at  10 p.m. Thursday night, officers responded to the 8600 block of Edenfield Road in reference to a person shot. Upon arrival, officers were initially unable to locate a scene or victim.  

A short time later, a victim arrived at the hospital with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. Police say an attempted robbery resulted in the victim being shot.  

Another shooting took place in the Wesconnett neighborhood on Friday morning, leaving left one man in critical condition. 

Police say the shooting happened around 3 a.m. in the 5100 block of Seaboard Avenue.

First Coast News has learned there were children home at the time of the incident but further details have not been released.

Police say they could not release any suspect information.
