FOUND SAFE: Woman allegedly carjacked by Tennessee boyfriend located in Volusia County

Marsha Ann Higgins reportedly texted someone saying her boyfriend, Bradley Chilton, threatened to kill her, according to a JSO report released Friday.

EDITOR'S NOTE: The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office initially released a photo of the victim pictured with a man saying she was abducted by her boyfriend. The man in the photo was not her boyfriend and all photos and video of him have been removed from this website.

The woman who police say was involved in a carjacking involving her boyfriend earlier this week was located safely in Volusia County Friday.

On Tuesday, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said Marsha Ann Higgins, 37, was possibly abducted by her Tennessee boyfriend Bradley Chilton.

The search began after Higgins texted someone for help saying her boyfriend threatened to kill her, according to JSO's police report released Friday.

The texts stated that the person should "Call the police. Tell them Brad has carjacked me with me in the car and is threatening to kill me," the incident report states.

A complainant told police that Higgins and Chilton were traveling in a silver four-door Toyota Scion and maybe in the Jacksonville Beach area. Police moved their search to the Volusia County area Wednesday and discovered that a different Tennessee tag was now on the vehicle, according to JSO.

Both Higgins and Chilton were safely located in Volusia County Friday. An investigation is ongoing to learn more information, and JSO says they have not determined if a crime was committed.
