A man is dead and a woman is injured after they were shot early Sunday morning in the Beauclerc area, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
Police said around 12: 24 a.m. they responded to the 4900 block of Sunbeam Road after receiving reports that a person was shot.
At the scene, police found a man and woman suffering from gunshot wounds. They were transported to a local hospital where the man was pronounced dead, JSO said.
The woman sustained non-life-threatening injuries during the incident. JSO's homicide unit is currently investigating the incident.
