JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A man was found dead inside a Southside hotel after the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office received an anonymous tip.
JSO said they got a call that there was a dead body inside of InTown Suites in the 3100 block of St. Johns Bluff Rd. S. and went to perform a welfare check.
A maintenance man gave police access to the room, and when they went inside, they said they found a deceased male.
At this time, it isn't known how the man died, but police suspect foul play. JSO is working with the State Attorney's Office to maintain a search warrant.
JSO's homicide unit is on the scene. Police are canvassing the area. They say this incident remains an active investigation.
