JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating after a man was shot and killed Friday afternoon on Moncrief Road.
JSO said officers received calls of a reported shooting in the 4200 block of Moncrief Road just after 1 p.m.
When officers arrived on scene, they found a man shot several times.
The victim was transported to the hospital where he died, according to officers.
It is believed the victim and suspect knew each other and met up prior to the shooting behind a business, JSO said.
The suspect is described as a Black male and was last seen heading north on Moncrief Road in a white Volvo sedan.
Homicide and crime scene units are currently on scene investigating.
