1 dead in early Saturday shooting in Windy Hills

At this time, the sheriff's office has not named any suspects.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — One person is dead after a shooting early Saturday morning in the Windy Hills area of Jacksonville.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, the shooting happened at about 4 a.m. in the 3800 block of Forest Boulevard, near Windy Hills Elementary School.

When officers and the Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department personnel arrived on the scene, they found a man who was already dead. The sheriff's office has not identified the victim at this time.

Both a prosecutor and Crime Scene Investigators also arrived on the scene to investigate the shooting.

At this time, the sheriff's office has not named any suspects.
