GREEN COVE SPRINGS, Fla. — The Green Cove Police Department is investigating after a man was shot Saturday on Forbes Street.
The shooting happened in the 1200 block of Forbes Street.
Police said the 35-year-old victim was shot by a homeowner who reportedly "fired in self-defense" during a dispute.
The victim was transported to a local hospital. His injuries will require surgery but his condition is unknown at this time, according to police.
Authorities have not said if the victim was armed or whether he or the homeowner will face any charges.
Information is still limited as police continue to investigate the shooting.
