A GoFundMe page was created to help with funeral costs for the mother killed in the Lackawanna area Thursday morning.
Shirley Blakely, 54, a mother of two, was found dead in a home in the 2500 block of Beaverbrook Place, according to family.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office was called out to a home in the area in reference to a possible shooting. When they arrived, they found Blakely dead with multiple injuries, family say.
Blakley's family believes the man who is responsible for her death is their next-door neighbor’s son. However, police never confirmed this or gave out any suspect information.
JSO is still investigating this incident.
According to the GoFundMe page, the family is trying to raise $10,000 to help with Blakely's funeral arrangements.
