'Get ready for Columbine part 2': Three Union Co. HS students arrested for threatening school on Snapchat

The picture showed two male students -- one identified as 18-year-old Noah C. Reed and the other a 17-year-old -- with the caption "Columbine part 2" and two devil emojis.

On Thursday, the principal of the high school, Mike Ripplinger, contacted deputies after he was made aware of a photo posted on Snapchat by 18-year-old Amy Bechtel, according to police reports. The picture showed two male students -- one identified as 18-year-old Noah C. Reed and the other a 17-year-old -- with the caption "Columbine part 2" and two devil emojis.

The 17-year-old was not named in the police report.

Bechtel told deputies that she received the photo from the 17-year-old about three to four months ago and Reed was aware of it. But on Thursday, she said she received the photo again from the 17-year-old on a mobile app called "YOLO," with a message that read "Get ready for Columbine part 2 featuring Noah," the police report states. Bechtel reportedly replied back to the teen "I don't know if I'll ever be ready."

Bechtel said she then combined the photo and exchange on YOLO and posted it to Snapchat, according to the police report.

Bechtel and Reed were taken into custody and booked into the Union County Jail. They were charged with intimidation through a written threat to kill or injure, which is a second-degree felony.

The 17-year-old was arrested and sent to the Department of Juvenile Justice in Gainesville, Fla.
