The University of Florida Police Department (UFPD) is searching for the man who reportedly sexually battered a female student on Saturday.

UFPD says the incident happened between 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. on the University of Florida campus.

Police say the victim was in the area of an alleyway north of the Florida Gym and south of the Student Recreation and Fitness Center when an unknown man came up from behind her and sexually battered her, according to an alert sent out Monday by UF.

She wasn't able to provide any suspect description.

Police say the victim also reported the incident to a food services employee supervisor who then reported the incident to UFPD.
