An 18-year-old is facing a murder charge after he allegedly followed a 20-year-old from a parking lot and fatally shot him in East Arlington this week.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office arrested Izhaan Scott, saying he shot and killed Trevor Gray after an altercation at a Circle K in the 3600 block of St. Johns Bluff Road South before 9 p.m.

Gray was accompanied by two other people at the time. JSO said one of those individuals got into an altercation with Scott in the parking lot. After, Gray and the two others went back to their vehicle and drove away.

Scott reportedly got inside his vehicle and followed the three to an intersection of St. Johns Bluff Road and Bahia Drive where he opened fire and struck Gray.

Police were called at 9 p.m. to Atlantic Boulevard and St. Johns Bluff Road where they discovered Gray suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to the hospital where he later died.

Scott reportedly fled the area after the shooting, but he was later found in the 8000 block of the Arlington Expressway. He was taken into custody following a traffic stop.

Scott was arrested and charged with murder, as well as two counts of attempted murder.
