Marine in need of help of electricians, plumbers, hardware donations

A non-profit group called Embrace Community Center in Keystone Heights is stepping up to organize a big project: building a brand new home for a Marine who lost his home to a fire.

STARKE, Fla. -- Corporal Chris Langston served our country in the United States Marine Corps. He came home from seeing his best buddy killed in a sniper attack with the invisible wound: PTSD.

If that wasn't rough enough, Langston said he got a phone call a few weeks ago. He learned that his home in Starke burned to the ground. HIs insurance is offering practically nothing and he's upside down on his mortgage.

First Coast News told his story and within minutes, thousands of dollars began to pour in for Langston.

Now, a non-profit group called Embrace Community Center in Keystone Heights is stepping up to organize a big project: building him a brand new home.

Dozens of contractors, subs and companies have stepped up to help. The non-profit still has needs to make their mission happen for Langston.

Co-founders and husband and wife Kasey and Zachary Bryan have this needs list:

  • Electrician
  • Plumber
  • Surveyor
  • Septic Installer
  • Lumber, concrete, hardware, and roofing donations

If you can help with the needs list or in any other way, call Kasey at 352-727-9304.

The group wants to thank those who've already volunteered to help, including the Gainesville Lowe's Store # 3278, CSAR Construction, Scott's Home Solutions, JDog Junk Removal and Hauling and other volunteers.
