Jacksonville Fire Rescue responded to a possible carbon-monoxide leak that sent ten people to the hospital in Northwest Jacksonville Friday night.

Jacksonville Fire Rescue responded to a possible carbon-monoxide leak that sent ten people to the hospital in Northwest Jacksonville Friday night.

According to Chief Matt Cipriani, approximately 50-60 people were attending a party in a strip mall at the 1400 block of Palmdale Dr. when some began feeling light headed, and one person fainted.

The building was evacuated upon JFRD's arrival, and the hazmat unit was called out to the scene.

Ten people were sent to local area hospitals with what JFRD believes is for exposure to carbon monoxide poisoning.

Investigators are currently trying to locate the source of the carbon monoxide leak.
