You may soon be able to get a Peruvian sub, rack of ribs and shot of bourbon all in the same place.

Angies Subs in Jacksonville Beach looking to rebrand themselves as a 'reimagined' facility complete with a three-story craft distillery and barbeque restuaunt, according to documents filed with the City of Jacksonville Beach.

If approved by the city, Jacksontucky Distillery, an established business off Shetter Avenue, will relocate to the new facility. The distillery says their goal is to create a tourist destination, with a gift shop, tasting room, barrel aging room and distillery tours.

Right next door, 'The Smokehouse Barbeque Restaurant' would serve up traditional barbeque bites and fare.

Angie's Sub Shop located in Jacksonville Beach has been a staple for years and has even been featured on the Travel Channel as one of the best spots on the First Coast to get a delicious sandwich.

Ed Malin is the owner of the Angie's Sub Shop and submitted the land and development request in an attempt to amend their development code to add "craft distillery" to their list of conditional uses.

Malin is scheduled to present the renovation plans Monday to the Jacksonville Beach Planning Commission.
