At almost double the size of the St. Johns Town Center, The Pavilion at Durbin Park is set to complete Phase One of construction this fall.
Once completed, Phase One will have "appropriately 700,000 square feet of retail space," according to the Gatlin Development Company, which is in charge of the project.
By the time the whole development is finished, St. Johns County residents will be seeing 2.4 million square feet of retail space.

Phase Two of The Pavilion will be anchored by a Bass Pro Shop and, according to Gatlin Development Company documents, will focus on, "lifestyle retailers, restaurants, entertainment components."
Residents can look forward to Durbin Park, a proposed community gathering space the size of three football fields.
The Gatlin Company says the park will boast "water features, a large playground, merry-go-round, and a temporary ice skating rink."
This second phase of the development sits east of the interchange between State Road 9B and Race Track Road and will be finished 12 to 18 months after Phase One.
The massive development will be completed with office spaces, several hotels, and multi-family units.
