How to send your leftover Halloween candy to U.S. troops

Both Operation Gratitude and Treats for Troops by Soldier's Angels are known to collect excess Halloween candy and give them to U.S. troops, veterans and wounded heroes.

If you have extra Halloween candy and don’t want to worry about all those calories or cavities, there are two organizations you should check out: Operation Gratitude and Treats for Troops.

Both Operation Gratitude and Treats for Troops by Soldier's Angels are known to collect excess Halloween candy and give them to U.S. troops, veterans and wounded heroes.

Along with candy, Operation Gratitude also collects care packages include letters of appreciation, food, entertainment, toiletries and handmade items.

Below is a list of locations participating in Operation Gratitude:

  • West Dentistry, 2301 Park St., Jacksonville, Florida on Nov. 5 to Nov. 6
  • Kids First Dentistry, 4495 Roosevelt Blvd., St. 111, until Nov. 8
  • Dopazo Orthodontics, 3457 Hendricks Ave., Jacksonville
  • Bartram Dental Center, 130 Gateway Circle, Jacksonville
