A Phoenix-based restaurant that specializes in serving customers healthy food will open in the St. Johns Town Center this November.
True Food Kitchen, which has 26 locations in 12 states, describes itself as "a health-driven, seasonal restaurant" with an open kitchen and bar area.
It will be located where the former Mitchell's Fish Market Seafood Restaurant and Bar used to be, 5205 Big Island Dr.
The menu is guided by the principles of integrative medicine expert Dr. Andrew Weil's anti-inflammatory food pyramid, according to a press release.
The menu - which includes gluten-free, organic, vegetarian and vegan options - regularly rotates its items based on the season "to let guests experience great tasting menu items featuring the season's ripest ingredients and produce at the peak of their freshness," according to the website.
The online menu features items like appetizers, salads, soups, pizzas, chicken, steak and seafood plates and bowls, among other items.
Customers can also go to True Kitchen for brunch where alcoholic beverages will be made available. The wine, cocktails and beer will also be seasonal.
"We're excited to bring our delicious healthful food and handcrafted beverages to St. Johns Town Center, said Shannon Keller, the vice president of marketing for True Food Kitchen. "The restaurant will be designed with the lively and active Jacksonville community in mind; where everyone is welcome to eat better, feel better and celebrate a passion for better living."
True Food Kitchen already has two restaurants in Florida: Boca Raton and Naples.
