Your Pie opening 2 new Jacksonville area build-your-own pizza restaurants

The two restaurants will hold simultaneous grand opening celebrations Friday.

Jacksonville area residents will have two new Your Pie fast, casual restaurants to build their own fresh pizza beginning this week.

Your Pie is opening a new restaurant at 90 Durbin Pavilion Drive in St. Johns at the Duval-St.Johns County line and reopening its restaurant at 13423 Beach Boulevard at Hodges Boulevard.

Both restaurants are hosting “Dine In and Donate” events from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and 5-7 p.m Monday through Wednesday.

During the event, each of the new restaurants will serve free pizza to up to 200 registered guests per day in exchange for monetary donations on behalf of local nonprofits.

People can register at each store’s website: Beach & Hodges Your Pie is at pizza, and Your Pie St Johns is at pie

Your Pie St. Johns will support the St. Johns Police Athletic League, and Your Pie Beaches & Hodges will support Dreams Come True.

The two restaurants will hold simultaneous grand opening celebrations Friday.

The St. Johns restaurant’s regular hours will be 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday-Thursday, 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Hours for Your Pizza Beach & Hodges will be 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday through Sunday.

The openings bring to a total of five Your Pie restaurants in the Jacksonville area. They join locations on the city’s Southside, as well as on Fleming Island, in Clay County and St. Augustine in St. Johns County.

The Georgia-based franchise of build-your-own-pizza restaurants allows guests to customize their 10-inch pizzas by choosing preferred dough, sauce, cheese and toppings.

P.J. Patel owns Your Pie St. Johns. Patel also owns the St. Augustine restaurant. The restaurant will be operated by general manager Bobby Deshnad.

“I’m thrilled to open my second Your Pie location in the city that has been home to me for more than a decade,” said Patel, who’s lived in St. Johns for 12 years.

“Our team is excited to begin serving guests in the St. Johns community, and we hope our restaurant becomes a place where families and friends can gather around the table to enjoy great pizza and quality time together,” Patel said.

The Your Pie at Beach and Hodges is being reopened by Rachel Sackllah and John and Elias Abuaita, , who acquired the location this spring. The restaurant’s unique concept and culture drew them to the business.

“We’re excited for the opportunity to join the Your Pie Family and to continue serving the Jacksonville community at Your Pie Beach & Hodges,” Sackllah said. “Your Pie has grown a loyal fanbase in this community over the last several years, and we look forward to welcoming guests back to this location, starting with our Dine and Donate events.”

Drew French, a culinary entrepreneur, founded Your Pie in 2008 with the goal of creating “an innovative restaurant concept offering high quality, brick-oven pizza at incredible speed.” He began franchising in 2010.

Your Pie uses hand-tossed dough, only fresh ingredients, along with homemade pizza sauces and salad dressings. It offers vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free pizzas in addition to its traditional pizzas, chopped salads and paninis.

All menu items — including its rotating seasonal menu — are inspired by family recipes from the Italian island of Ischia.

The restaurant also offers craft beer, wine and Italian-style gelato pairings designed to perfectly complement guests’ custom pizza creations.

“At Your Pie, we believe that food can be fresh, fast, delicious and experiential,” said French, who also is company president. “We want to be the go-to fast casual restaurant where families, friends, colleagues and groups can gather, dine and share memories without having to share pizzas.”

There are nearly 70 Your Pie restaurants nationwide and another 50 in development, according to company officials.

“We’re excited for the opportunity to bring the original fast casual pizza concept to new communities across Jacksonville and the surrounding areas,” French said.
