JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The reality TV star who's planning to transform a historic downtown Jacksonville building into a restaurant and bar has decided on a name for the eatery. Sandy Yawn, a luxury yacht captain on Bravo TV's "Below Deck Mediterranean" purchased the 106-year-old firehouse located at 618 W. The restaurant will be named ‘Maritime 618’ and will feature a nautical theme, yacht-style cuisine and intercontinental seafood and cultural fare, according to a news release from Yawn Properties LLC, her company.

Yawn Properties is working with architect Brooke Robins who will renovate the historic 3-story Fire Station #4, the news release states. The firehouse originally opened in 1914.

“We are currently in the process of obtaining bids from a number of local general contractors and hope to make our selection in the next four weeks,” Yawn Properties partner Chad Quist stated in the news release. “With the team complete, we will begin fine tuning the design and securing the necessary permits to begin construction in January of next year.”
