Navy veterans serve up savory bites at Westside restaurant

Their award-winning burgers are a hit along with the Chicken and Broccoli Fettuccine Alfredo.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Live music, award-winning burgers and decadent desserts. It's all on the menu at Two Saints Bar and Grill on the Westside.

Navy veterans Sha’ron and Arthur Jenkins are the owners of the restaurant and say that they've been waiting for this opportunity for a long time.

“My husband did 23 years and I did 24 (in the Navy)," Sha’ron Jenkins said."I worked in administration, so I was able to just convert over to customer service and guest relations type of hospitality."

The couple, along with their son Devon, have been serving up grub on the Westside for the past two years.

“We do a great steak", Sha’ron Jenkins said. " A 12-ounce ribeye and our chicken, fish, and burgers are the best."

Popular on the menu is the taco salad which comes with a handmade taco shell.

“The shell is edible and fried, and it comes with chicken or beef, whichever you prefer," Devon Jenkins said. "You can get it with sour cream or sauce on the side, and it also comes with rice, tomatoes, onions, and cheese on top."

Their award-winning burgers are also a hit along with the Chicken and Broccoli Fettuccine Alfredo.

“Our spin that we put on it is really good, we marinate the chicken, we have made fresh to order for you, we top it with our Swiss cheese and you can get it grilled or fried and it's just really good it's a fan favorite as well,” Sha’ron said.

For dessert, The Avalanche serves up to five people is guaranteed to satisfy every sweet tooth.

"It's made with melted brownie ice cream, melted brownies, and topped with whip cream, caramel drizzle, chocolate drizzle, pecans and a cherry... yes it's the bomb,” Sharon said.
