JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Wen Raiti is from China. Back in 2000, she relocated to the states and went from a plant-based diet to eating popular American cuisine on the regular. It ultimately caused her a series of digestive issues, issues that doctors had a hard time diagnosing.
"Doctors simply have no way to help me because he couldn’t find anything wrong with my body," Raiti said.
After years of research, she concluded that her health problems stemmed from her diet, forcing her to get back to her roots of eating clean. She’s since left the corporate world and now dedicates her life to making an impact and helping others maintain a healthy lifestyle.
"I wanted to make healthy, simple, fresh, organic and delicious food and drinks affordable and accessible for everyone," she said.
Last year, she launched a unique concept on the First Coast. House of Leaf and Bean, an organic oasis equipped with its own drive-thru, zen room and natural organic cuisine.
Popular favorites are the dumplings, each one is stuffed and made by hand.
The rice bowls are also a hit made with sauteed mixed veggies, fresh tofu and chicken seasoned to perfection.
The restaurant is located along Beach Boulevard and San Pablo Parkway.
