Trips to the Zoo are about to get a lot more interesting.
Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens is raising the bar with the opening of The Watering Hole, a beer garden situated on the dock at the scenic Trout River
Guests have asked for a beer option at the Zoo, that has previously been limited to only select events. With a vibrant craft beer scene in Jacksonville, The Watering Hole is a natural fit.
Surrounded by beautiful gardens, guests can sip on delicious craft brews from local craft beer vendors. The Watering Hole will be serving local craft beers on weekends as weather allows.
Bold City Brewery beers will be sold the first weekend at The Watering Hole. Bold City’s Mad Manatee IPA supports Jacksonville Zoo and Garden’s Manatee Critical Care Center.
Guests can check out the launch of this frosty addition at Saturday’s Manatee Festival. State and local partners will be on hand to talk about safe boating practices and how science and teamwork are improving manatee populations in the wild.
