JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — If you have a friend who's having a baby, odds are they've registered for something from Boppy Company. But after the company issued a major recall Tuesday for one of their most popular items, many will be double-checking that gift list.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission website, Boppy Company has issued a recall for 14,000 head and neck support accessories due to the risk suffocation.

The product is an accessory to be used in infant swings, bouncers and strollers.

While no injuries have been reported, the company says it has received three reports of babies heads being pushed forward chin to the chest by the product, posing a suffocation hazard.

The item is sold at Target, Buy Buy Baby and other children's stores nationwide. The item was also sold on Amazon from March 2019 through May 2019.

If you think you own one of these you'll need to look for model numbers 150114 and 4150117. The model number is printed on the fabric label on the back of the head support.

Contact the Boppy Company at 1-888-772-6779 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. ET Monday through Friday. Their email is info@boppy.com.
