It's tough out there in Hollywood, even if you're Tom Hanks.
Well, 20 years ago it was maybe a little tough for him. The actor's audition tape for Forrest Gump has just recently surfaced, back when Hanks had to audition like any average Joe (versus the Volcano).
Of course, being Tom Hanks, his audition is predictably amazing, but it is notably missing the famous Southern drawl he took on in the movie. Maybe that was director Robert Zemeckis' idea.
