After unveiling the Oscar nominations, the Academy is facing backlash for its lack of diversity.

Of all the nominees in the four major acting categories, actress Cynthia Erivo, who plays Harriet Tubman in the biopic Harriet, is the only person of color recognized as a nominee.

Amazon CEO slammed for wildfire donation

Amazon CEO, Jeff Bezos is being slammed for his $69,000 donation to the Australian wildfire recovery, which is less than he made every five minutes in 2018.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Bezos announced that the company would donate $1 million Australian dollars, which is $690,000 USD, to the wildfire recovery effort.

Bezos net worth dipped by $46 billion in 2019, which is the same year he went through a costly divorce. Bezos is still worth more than $117 billion.
