GMJ crew takes hilarious Christmas music debate to social media

Why defuse friendly behind-the-scenes banter when you can escalate things with dueling videos on Facebook.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — It's an age-old debate: When is the right time to kick-off the Christmas season?

Thanks to a fun little video debate on Facebook, it's clear where at least three members of the GMJ team stand: Lewis Turner and Mike Prangley are on Team Christmas, while Steve Fundaro is a staunch supporter of Thanksgiving.

It all started when Prangley played some Christmas music prior to Friday, Nov. 8's edition of Good Morning Jacksonville.

Fundaro took a little selfie video of the shenanigans, jokingly looking less than thrilled that his fellow meteorologist was belting out "Silver Bells" at 4:17 a.m. some seven weeks before Christmas.

After seeing Fundaro's video, Turner posted a funny video of his own, arguing that playing Christmas music in early November doesn't take anything away from Thanksgiving.
