Brittany joined the First Coast News team in February of 2015.
She's a native of Birmingham, Ala. and graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (Go Blazers!) with dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Communication Management, with a minor in Theater.
Brittany comes to First Coast News from Columbus, Ga. where she specialized in legal reporting for the top rated ABC affiliate, WTVM News Leader 9. She spent more than three years immersing herself in the strong military culture at Ft. Benning and life on the Chattahoochee River.
While in Columbus, she covered several stories that caught national attention, including the city running out of burial space for pauper funerals, a special report on the club drug Molly, and a special report were she ventured underground to explore a hidden community of homeless people living beneath city streets.
Brittany is a proud member of the National Association of Black Journalists.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing the flute, grabbing her racket for a couple of rounds of tennis, and testing out new recipes!
She looks forward to bringing you the compelling and worthy news you want to hear, so please feel free to email her about the issues that matter to you!
