Jacksonville Sheriff's Office looking to hire crossing guards

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Community Affairs Division has 12 crossing guard vacancies.

According to JSO's online posting, school crossing guards work one hour in the morning and one hour in the afternoon for a maximum of 10 hours a week and receive $9.56 an hour.

To qualify, the position must be within five miles of the applicant's home address.
