JACKSONVILLE, FL -- Southbound and northbound lanes of I-295 over the Buckman Bridge are closed.
Law enforcement officers closed the bridge around 3 p.m. and it is still closed.
Officers say a sailboat hit one of the light pole on the bridge.
But the main reason for the closure was wind speed measured at 55 miles per hour.
Traffic is backed up almost two miles past San Jose Blvd.
