JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Thursday night at 8:00 p.m. on NBC 12, First Coast News will air "Hurricane Season 2014: Know Your Zone."
It's an hour long show dedicated entirely to hurricane preparations and the new evacuation zones issued for the area.
While hurricane season did being back in June, we are just now entering the busiest part of the season for storms.
From now until mid-September is when most named storms will form in the Atlantic and Caribbean.
We'll specifically be driving through each new evacuation zone ((click here for previous coverage on the new zones)), going over what makes each one most prone during a storm.
There's also an interactive component of the show, Lewis Turner will be live tweeting throughout the show with extra tips and forecasts. He'll also be answering questions during the show from 8:00-9:00 p.m. if you use the hashtag on twitter #KnowYourZone.
We'll also have segments from the entire First Coast News weather team on the rest of this season's hurricane forecast, evacuation routes, shelter locations and reminders on how to be best prepared at your home.
