JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The isolated showers that were few and far between have come to an end. It will be mostly cloudy forthe remainder of tonight with lows in the lower 70s inland to middle 70s beaches. Portions of interior Georgia could see lows dip into the middle to upper 60s.
This drier air will continue to move south into Northeast Florida on Labor Day which means more sunshine and just a small chance of an isolated shower. Highs will be in the upper 80s beaches to lower 90s inland with an east wind at 5 to 10 mph. Our cookout weather digit is a 10 out of 10 for tomorrow evening as any shower activity should move well inland by 6 p.m.
The tropics are once again flaring up and an area of disturbed weather in the Gulf of Mexico could develop and head toward Texas by Tuesday. Gaston is expected to come back to life and could impact Puerto Rico and Hispaniola by the middle of the week. Our weather team will keep you updated.
