Deadly crashes shut down lanes in Jacksonville

A pedestrian was reportedly killed in Fleming Island after a crash on US-17 at Hibernia.

Several deadly crashes shut down lanes throughout Jacksonville Monday night.

The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) reported a deadly crash on US-17 at Hibernia Road around 6:43 p.m. It shut down all northbound lanes, but FHP reported that the right and center lanes of US-17 were back open around 8:40 p.m. A pedestrian was reportedly killed. No other details were released.

Around 8:10 p.m., FHP reported another deadly crash on N. Main Street and Busch Drive on the Northside. FHP said at least one person died in the crash. The northbound and southbound lanes of N. Main Street were blocked, and FHP said it isn't sure when they'll reopen.
