JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A car fire has shut down the southbound lanes of I-95 near Baymeadows Road late afternoon Friday.
At 9:10 a.m., FDOT cams showed that all lanes were closed, but authorities started opening lanes back up around 9:30 a.m.
Emergency crews were called to the scene and found that five vehicles were involved in a crash. One vehicle crashed into another vehicle and a domino effect took place. Two of those vehicles, a Nissan Altima and a Dodge Durango were engulfed in flames after the crash.
JFRD responded to the scene and put the fire out.
Injuries varied from none to minor.
