According to The Florida Highway Patrol, eight vehicles were involved in the I-295 crash that shut down two lanes for hours Tuesday morning.
Officials say a dump truck was driving Southbound when a white passenger vehicle, driving erratically through the lanes, struck the dump truck.
According to reports the white car made an improper lane change and struck the right front side of the dump truck, causing the truck to take evasive actions and lose control.
Officials say the white vehicle then continued Southbound on I-295 and left the scene. Officials say the car should have minor damage to the left rear.
All injuries in this crash were minor, two people were transported to Orange Park Medical including a 5-year-old child.
