JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A man was convicted Friday for a June 2012 attempted murder at the Happy Time Bar on University Boulevard.
According to prosecutors, Luis Enrique Amador-Carbajal, 32, got into an argument with the victim while in the bathroom of the bar. According to a State Attorney's Office statement, he returned to the bar armed with a gun, and pointed it at the victim's head.
During the ensuing struggle, the victim was shot in three times, in the leg and arm. The victim has since recovered from his injuries.
Amador-Carbajal was also convicted of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
As a prison release reoffender, Carbajal faces mandatory life in prison and is scheduled to be sentenced on November 25.
