LAKE CITY, Fla. -- A domestic battery suspect was arrested on August 13 around 11 p.m., according to a Lake City Police Department press release.
LCP discovered that the suspect would not allow the victim access to a phone, the release detailed.
Alexander Rosenbauer, 27, was allegedly abusive towards the mother of his children, who also lives with him, after he had been drinking that evening. The victim, who was not named, used a neighbor's phone to dial 911.
Police met with Rosenbauer downstairs in the parking lot of the Cypress Inn while the victim was still upstairs in the room. Investigation revealed that he battered her and then took away all the telephones to prevent her from calling 911, according to the release.
Rosenbauer was arrested, transported and booked at the Columbia County Detention Center for battery (domestic violence) and depriving a victim from calling 911. He was released on $4,000 bond.
