JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A man and a woman are facing several charges after police say they took adverse possession of several homes and tried to rent them without the consent of homeowners.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, Rosemary McCoy, 55, and Elton McCall, 38, are facing:
-2 charges of Violation of RICO Statute
-Conspiracy to Violate RICO
-8 charges of Organized Fraud
-8 charges of Grand Theft
-Burglary of a Dwelling
-8 charges of Trespass in a Structure
McCoy and McCall obtained Adverse Possession Without Color of Title on 13 properties around Jacksonville, according to a JSO report.
Under the name, "Goin Global LLC," the two would rent or try to rent the properties without the permission of the homeowner.
McCoy and McCall are each being held on a total bond of $280,000. They are both scheduled to appear in court on June 26 at 9 a.m.
