JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A man who was wanted in a Wednesday police-involved shooting at the Jacksonville International Airport has turned himself in.
Rodney Lorenzo Addison, 20, is being charged with Auto Theft, Fleeing and Attempting to Elude Law Enforcement, Reckless Driving, Driving While License Suspended and Possession of Cocaine, according to a release from JSO Public Information Officer Melissa Bujeda.
Police were investigating a May 7 auto theft in which Addison was a suspect. Addison then gave chase Wednesday in the stolen Ford Crown Victoria and led police to the parking garage at the airport, where he ran into several cars.
A SWAT Officer fired three shots into the stolen vehicle and two other suspects, a 17-year-old male and a 27-year-old male, were hit.
The vehicle was later found at Monaco Arms Apartments off of Dunn Avenue. The 17-year-old and 27-year-old were taken into police custody at that time.
Addison is being held in the Duval County Jail on a total bond of $275,015 and will make his first court appearance at 9 a.m. Saturday.
