JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The City of Jacksonville has launched an investigation after a city employee accessed names and social security numbers of their co-workers.
The employee found the confidential information on an internal network not available to the public, but that was supposed to only be available to Employee Services workers.
That employee then distributed the information to City Council members, according to information released by the City.
The person who found the numbers, and the person who originally posted the document have been placed on paid administrative leave while the investigation continues.
