Chaos at Atlantic Beach Funeral
ATLANTIC BEACH, Fla. -- Atlantic Beach Police were called to a disturbance at Beaches Memorial Park Saturday afternoon. That's where the Johnson family was burying a loved one.
Reginald McKinney is the funeral home director for the McKinney Funeral Home. He told First Coast News that a cemetery representative instructed the funeral home to park their hearse on the grass.
In a written statement, Amanda Rayan, the co-owner of Beaches Memorial Park, said the hearse was actually parked on top of someone's grave. Rayan says the driver was asked to move the car before a fight broke out and police were called to the scene.
