FT. WHITE, Fla. - Two teens who Columbia County Sheriff's believe were responsible for a burglary in Ft. White have been arrested.
John Andrew Burke, 18 and a 16-year-old juvenile have been charged with burglary while armed and grand theft for breaking into a home and allegedly taking several firearms and computer equipment, according to a statement from the Columbia County Sheriff's Office.
During the investigation, authorities received information from Columbia County Sheriff's Office School Resource Deputies that a Ft. White High School student may have been involved in the burglary, the release stated.
The stolen firearms and the majority of the computer equipment were recovered for the victim. Detectives arrested the teen suspects and transported them to the Columbia County Detention Facility without incident. Burke is currently being held on $60,000 bond.
