CLAY COUNTY, Fla. -- Alcohol will now be sold in Clay County on Sundays beginning at 7 a.m.

That's according to Clay County's unofficial results.

Some business owners are pushed to move the time from 2 p.m. to 7 a.m. Sundays, which would make it consistent with the rest of the days of the week.

According to Clay County Supervisor of Elections Chris Chambless, the ordinance needed only a simple majority - 50% plus one vote - to pass.

With 99% of votes counted, 59.95% voted to pass the measure.
