JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Homicide detectives with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office are asking the public's help in locating any additional information in relation to a woman's death in a Highland Glen home.

JSO Chief Tom Hackney said detectives found a lack of physical evidence and no witnesses, which has led detectives to solicit information from the public.

Hackney said an off-duty Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department firefighter returning his Highland Glen home after a 24-hour shift Sunday morning found his wife 38-year-old Kim Dorsey dead inside.

Detectives investigated the home for several days without developing any leads, Hackney said.

Originally the call went out as a suicide. Melissa Bujeda, Public Information Officer for the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, said as detectives conducted their on-scene investigation, they found suspicious circumstances relating to Dorsey's death, which led them to classify it as a homicide.

Hackney said Dorsey's firefighter husband is not a suspect in her death.
